Election Aftermath

Dear Friends of Righteousness,

Good news from here in Wisconsin! The sodomite lobby was soundly defeated as the marriage amendment which bans sodomite marriage and civil unions was passed overwhelmingly 59% to 41%. This in spite of the fact that the sodomite organization trying to defeat it used deceptive ads and then did a day before the election phone-calling campaign wherein they outright lied and said in order to ban same-sex marriage and keep marriage between one man and one woman and keep activist judges from ruling otherwise you had to vote no! You can easily add 10% on to the winning margin due to the many who voted the wrong way because of their lies and deception. The sodomite's agenda was trounced or beaten in six other states also. As of this writing it looks like Arizona (where many of the elderly live) voted against the ban.

J.B. Van Hollen won as Attorney General here even though the news stations were declaring his opponent the winner right after the polls closed! J.B. is 100% pro-life, pro-gun, and pro-keeping-government-out of-business-it-has-no-right-sticking-it's-nose-into.

Sadly, Tom Reynolds, the best man running in the whole state, lost re-election. He was outspent 12 to 1. Out of 70,000 votes cast, he only lost by 2000. He became a target of the road builders association because he cost them big bucks by leading the drive here to do away with the automatic tax increase on gas each year. The Democrats and the road builders ran relentless commercials that told outright lies about Tom for nearly three weeks. The DA didn't step in and stop it until four days before the election. Tom's loss means the rest of the politicians will continue to cow-tow to the special interests knowing that they might be next if they don't. We the people lose.

AS for South Dakota, I was not surprised about the loss there. The people in leadership did not want to make the babies the issue. They wanted to just make 'women are hurt by abortion' the issue. We were persona-non-grata while we were there when it came to the pro-life leadership. They wouldn't touch us. They tried to convince us not to come. They denounced us publicly once we did. The pro-lifers have a great political machine in South Dakota, but you need to have the grassroots educated to win a referendum. Quite frankly when I saw their attitude I thought "Gee, if they don't want the babies to be the issue, perhaps South Dakota doesn't deserve to be the state that is instrumental in overturning Roe." Perhaps now the leadership there will see to go back to square one and begin the hard work of educating the populace so that the real issue - babies brutally murdered unjustly - becomes the real issue.

FINALLY, embryonic research. This issue needs to be addressed by the pro-life community much more aggressively and by pulpits across this nation. The church is asleep on this one just as it was regarding abortion in 1973. For people to create people just so they can kill them and use their body parts for their own self-interests is evil. That is what embryonic stem cell research is. Didn't we try Nazi's at the end of World War II for such acts? What Michael J. Fox did was a selfish disgrace. PLUS, the research done shows that adult stem cells have been far more successful than embryonic stem cells. So the practical data is on our side too. We at Missionaries to the Preborn plan to begin an initiative to educate people about this important matter lest selfish barbarism continues to flourish. God is just and His judgment will not sleep forever.

Those are my thoughts. Let us continue to serve our Savior and King and speak up for righteousness sake!
