Pro-Lifers' Right To Know
It was reported by a number of news sources that a "pro-life" bill called the 'Women's Right To Know Bill' "moved closer to passage" in the House of Representatives in the State of Georgia:
"A special subcommittee of the House Health and Human Services Committee voted 8-2 to move House Bill 197 on to the full committee, after hearing two hours of testimony on both sides of the issue. Supporters of the bill said it will provide women seeking an abortion with information they need for a properly informed decision. The bill also tightens requirements for parental notification before an abortion."
HB 197
The first time I read through HB 197 I found it to be convoluted and poorly written. It looks like the legislative scribes took multiple bills and pasted them all together into this one bill.
HB 197 stipulates that mothers seeking to kill their children by abortion (premeditated murder) are to be given "informed consent" information before the killing starts. The information is to be developed by the Georgia Department of Human Resources.
With statements like, "No abortion is authorized or shall be performed unless the abortion is performed in a licensed hospital, in a licensed ambulatory surgical center, or in a health facility licensed as an abortion facility by the Department of Human Resources," HB 197 squarely places control of child killing by abortion in the hands of the Department of Human Resources.
HB 197 also creates a 24-hour waiting period before the state licensed killing begins. It also requires parents of pregnant teenagers be notified before their unborn grandchildren are murdered -- with the help of the State.
Furthermore, the bill specifically states, "No penalty may be assessed against the female upon whom the abortion is performed or attempted to be performed."
In all I would say that by incorporating such homicidal regulations into the Official Code of Georgia, state lawmakers are saying they intend to keep the murder of children by abortion legal for a very long time to come.
Are Georgia lawmakers aware of the fact that if HB 197 becomes law it would make them, and the citizens of Georgia, directly accountable for the murder of every unborn child killed under these regulations?
Such legislation is NOT pro-life
It can be clearly stated that the expansion of state abortion regulations in killing unborn children by defining how, when, where, on whom, by whom, or with whose permission abortions may be carried out, is NOT "pro-life!"
Regulating abortion is NOT outlawing abortion! Regulating how children are to be killed is NOT outlawing child killing! Quite the contrary.
The Bible clearly states that abortion is murder and civil authorities are to administer justice upon them "that doeth evil!" The murder of children by abortion is to be outlawed by the State!
The HB197 Pro-Life Fraud
Unfortunately, Christians across the State of Georgia are being lied to by fund-raising special interest groups telling them that HB197 is "pro-life." Soliciting funds under a false pretense is fraud!
FRAUD occurs when all of the following elements exist:
- An individual or an organization intentionally makes an untrue representation about an important fact or event;
- the untrue representation is believed by the victim (the person or organization to whom the representation has been made);
- the victim relies upon and acts upon the untrue representation;
- the victim suffers loss of money and/or property as a result of relying upon and acting upon the untrue representation. (1)
How To Report A Pro-Life Fraud
If you are a pro-life Christian living in the State of Georgia, and you receive or have received in the U.S. Mail a solicitation or solicitations of funds asking you for "pro-life" support of HB197, you can file a fraud complaint with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service by using its Mail Fraud Complaint Form page.
Advisory: Sometimes the scammer will use a term like "sanctity of life" while referencing HB197, or they will say, "We need your help!" in combination with an appeal for funds or "donation" requests.
Subject of Your Complaint
If the group claims to be a non-profit "ministry" or a non-profit organization, while passing themselves off as being "pro-life" and soliciting funds in support of HB197, the subject of your complaint would be filed under "Charity Fraud."
If the group is soliciting your financial support to lobby for the passage of HB197, while fraudulently calling it "pro-life," you can file the complaint under "Misrepresentation of Products/Services."
You can also contact your local postmaster or call the Fraud Complaint Unit of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service toll-free at
1-800-372-8347.
Remember: If you have become a victim of the HB197 Pro-Life Fraud and suffered loss of money to a scammer, make sure you tell the authorities that you have just learned HB197 is NOT pro-life, and you have been defrauded out of your money.
Pro-Life Telemarketing Fraud
In addition, under U.S. federal law, anyone who engages in fraudulent activity and uses telephones, telegraph and/or the Postal Service to discuss or either send or receive correspondence or documents in furtherance of the fraud, can be prosecuted for felony mail fraud and/or wire fraud; and if two or more persons act in collusion to defraud, U.S. federal conspiracy statutes also apply. (1)
If you have received phone calls from groups scaming you for your pro-life financial support of HB197, you can contact the National Fraud Information Center and report such telemarketing fraud or call NFIC at 1-800-876-7060.
Conclusion
The Christian Church in America is being attacked by deceit and fraud. For years the abortion regulators and scam artists have preyed upon the Church with fraudulent claims that legislation like the 'Women's Right To Know Bill' is "pro-life."
Unsuspecting and good hearted Christians have been defrauded out of hundreds of millions of dollars by swindlers and con-artists dressed in "pro-life" clothing for three decades.
Deuteronomy 30 sets forth God's pro-life principle: Obey the commandments, choose life and live, or, disobey the commandments, choose death and die. Christians choose life. The supporters of HB197 and their ilk have chosen death.
The time of the Abortion Regulation Con Game upon the Church in America is coming to an end!
