473,000 Jobs Lost in June
The New AmericanThe ADP National Employment Report estimated that the national economy shed some 473,000 jobs in June, which may be enough to bring the national unemployment rate to the 10-percent threshold once official figures are tallied later in the month. This private study of job loss is the first estimate to be released about June job loss figures, and will be followed in several weeks with more official estimates from the U.S. Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.
