NEWS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 12, 2004
Dysfunctional Pro-Lifers
Like dogs returning to their vomit, pro-lifers line up behind Republican candidates.

KEOKUK, Iowa, Oct. 12/Covenant News Wire Service/ -- We are politically dysfunctional. We are not playing on a level field. There is a great disparity between the Ins’ and the Outs’ Planned Parenthood is a tax-exempt business. Fueled with our tax dollars (Title X, XX, Medicaid, etc.) they hire full-time lobbyists for Political Action Committees, skillful lawyers to win legal battles, and paid staff for sex education. They are invited into schools to seduce children into sexual activity; they turn their hearts against godly values. As a “Faith-based Organization” they obtain additional tax dollars to hire clergy. They seek cooperation from area churches. As an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization), they funnel billions of United Nations dollars to further their world-wide agenda.
Michael Peroutka, of the Constitution Party, is the only candidate running for President who would end this "giverment" policy. Many argue that he hasn’t a chance of winning. They reason it a waste of their vote to cast it for a righteous candidate. “We can’t have Kerry become President” they cry! I have heard this argument before Bill Clinton defeated George H. Bush. If prolifers had voted consistently for the godly candidate beginning in 1992, we shouldn’t be in the mess we are in today. When voting for the lesser of 2 evils, we always end up a little worse off than we were before. The line in the sand is drawn further, and further back. The babies are pushed to the back of the Republican Party bus. All the best seats have been taken by the moderates and liberals.
In his 1st term of office, George W Bush gave more money to Planned Parenthood, and their ilk, than any president before him. As grave as this situation has become, could John Kerry make matters appreciably worse? What does Bush stand for that Kerry doesn’t?
In this election cycle we are not so much voting for someone as against them. Few voters consider either candidate great. They merely hate one over than the other. We can expect more persecution from John Kerry, but persecution will purify our ranks.
Pro-lifers are generally found in one of 3 camps: pro-life liberals, pro-life moderates, and pro-life conservatives. The liberals and most of the moderates will likely vote for George Bush; the rest will vote 3rd party, or not at all. We are a house divided.
There is no moderate solution to abortion, sodomy, pornography, or gambling. There was no moderate solution to slavery. There is no half hearted way to follow Christ.
It took the Republican Party 12 years from it’s founding to get their candidate for President elected. Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in his 1st term of office. Pro-lifers are not as principled as abolitionists. With heads low, hat-in-hand, we crouch before our Republican "Master.” As he grudgingly exacts out our crumbs, we should not expect a crumb more than what we deserve.
“The critical test of any government is the amount of protection it affords its weakest citizen” -Thoreau.
Forgetting the betrayals of the past 4 years, like dogs returning to their vomit, pro-lifers line up behind the Republican candidate. President Bush's budget request for the domestic population control program, Title X of the Public Health Service Act, is $278,300,000 for fiscal year 2005. (Ryan Report www.all.org/stopp). His father, then Congressman GH Bush sponsored this wicked legislation. President Bush is requesting $425 million for the USAID population control programs and an additional $25 million set aside to presumably be available for the U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA) if it becomes eligible for U.S. support (ibid).
