FBI: Saddam Hussein Was More Afraid of Iran Than U.S.

Saddam Hussein faked holding weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in fear of militant Shiite Iran, recently declassified conversations between FBI agent George L. Piro and former the Iraqi dictator confirmed. The documents, some 25 declassified interviews and informal conversations posted on the George Washington University website on July 1, also reveal that Hussein repeatedly denied a relationship with al-Qaeda that had been publicly alleged by the Bush administration.
