Oil Hits Record Near $127
SAN FRANCISCO -- June crude climbed as high as $126.98 a barrel in electronic trading to mark a fresh intraday record. The contract last traded at $126.50, up $2.27, or 1.8%, in regular trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Gains in energy futures were led by a 2.1% rise in June heating oil, which was last at $3.63 a gallon.
