Up to 50,000 more US troops needed in Iraq: Senator McCain

WASHINGTON -- Tens of thousands more US troops will be needed in Iraq, if Washington is to subdue the stubborn rebel insurgency there, a top US lawmaker said. Arizona senator John McCain told NBC television that as many as 50,000 more US soldiers will have to be sent to Iraq. "We still need more troops.
