The Ultimate Blasphemy
By Michael A. Peroutka The Covenant News ~ October 7, 2006
When I was a little kid, television was fairly new. I know this may sound strange to some of you but to some it will not. I can remember our little black and white set and the frequency with which it would break down. Our friend, Mr. Norm, the TV repairman would come to our home with his black case full of tubes of various sizes. He would take the back off the set and proceed to ask one of us sitting out front of the set to tell him when there was some change in the picture tube as he replaced the tubes in a trial-and-error fashion. Prior to the “solid state” days, televisions needed far more attention and repair than they do now. I hope Mr. Norm found productive employment as the technology advanced.
This rumination regarding the early days of TV is because I got to thinking about those Saturday morning shows like “Fury”, “My Friend Flicka”, “Sky King” and a host of cartoons and serials that got us up early and kept us distracted from the chores we were supposed to be doing. (In my case it seemed like I was always assigned to cutting grass, which I enjoyed, and cleaning the garage, which I didn’t.)
If you recall (and if you’re too young to recall, just stay with me for a minute here), the plots were always pretty simple and it was pretty easy to tell the good guys from the bad guys. In many of the serials, especially those involving science fiction like Buck Rogers, the bad guys always seemed to have one ultimate objective:
…To Rule the World.
This seemed to be a recurring theme in many of the programs. There would be some little scientist guy, many times with a German accent, who was plotting and planning to “rule zee vorld” and he would direct his stooges against the good guys. As the story would unfold, our HERO (along with the rest of the good guys) after looking destruction and annihilation in the face, would ultimately, with a display of courage and determination, prevail and foil the evil plot.
Why does this theme seem to recur? Is it because the desire to rule the world is the most blatant example of a perverted mind? In Romans 1:21-32, Paul describes the downward spiral that occurs when men, without excuse because they know God, fail to glorify Him as God but become “futile in their thoughts” and their hearts are darkened. Having exchanged their own agenda for God’s, He has given them over to a debased mind, the ultimate expression of which is to believe that they can do what only God can do, i.e. rule the world. This is, perhaps, the ultimate blasphemy.
I am finally coming to the realization that Bush, and the NeoCons he represents are proving to be nothing more than the mad scientist who is deluded (debased) into thinking he (they) can “rule zee vorld”. For the last forty years, members of the Council on Foreign Relations, and its sister group, the Trilateral Commission, have been appointed by both Democrat and Republican Administrations to seats of great power and influence in America. Trouble is, the agenda of these folks makes it clear that they do not believe in the American View of law and government, have no allegiance to America, and are therefore, not Americans. In fact, they are America’s enemies. This should help explain why they will not protect our borders, why they encourage and fund the murdering of American children, why they desire to disarm American citizens, and why they work against the interests of America’s industry by shipping America’s jobs overseas.
It also explains why they desire control of the school systems and the Churches (faith-based initiatives). This allows them to continue the dumbing-down and the buying off of any authority contrary to their own.
Could it really be this simple?
Yes, I think so.
I think so because they, in fact have said so. All you need to do is read the policy positions of these groups and the conclusion is, as they say, inescapable. During the 2004 Presidential campaign I continually recommended that folks go to a site called NewAmericanCentury.org. The documents contained there, signed by Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, and others, declare the intention of establishing a permanent American military presence in the Middle East. More detail about this agenda can be discovered in a book by Zbignew Brzezinski (another CFR and Trilateral Commission member) entitled “The Great Chess Game”.
This agenda to rule the world includes the necessity of selling these unconstitutional wars and policies to the American people who must be scared into going along out of fear for their security. It is in this light that we should examine the occurrences of September 11, 2001 in New York City, Washington, DC and the fields of the Pennsylvania countryside.
We are at the part of the Saturday morning cartoon right now where the mad scientist seems about to achieve his evil ends. It’s time for our God fearing hero to get off the couch, fix his purpose, set his face to the fight and do his duty.
