Specter & Bush treachery

Dear Friends of the Preborn,

Today the news agencies are widely reporting that Republican Senator Arlen Specter, who is scheduled to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee, warned President Bush about Supreme Court nominees who would oveturn Roe v. Wade. Specter has long been a pro-abortion advocate. It is important to note however,

that Specter would not even be in office right now had it not been for the efforts of President Bush.

Pat Tooney, a good man who is 100% pro-life, ran against Specter in the Republican primary this year. Amazingly, it looked like he was actually going to win and knock Specter out. President Bush however sent out a letter late in the race prodding the Republican faithful to get back behind Specter and even sent Laura, his wife to Pennsylvania to campaign on Specter's behalf!!

Specter beat Tooney - 51% to 49%. He won due to President Bush's efforts and support. How convenient for Bush to now be able to hide behind Specter when it comes to his Supreme Court nominations.

By the way, many good pro-lifers were turned off by being stabbed by Bush. This is why Bush did so poorly in Pennsylvania. When the Constitution Party ran a man for the seat in the general election, again Bush sent out letters to the Republican faithful encouraging them to stay in line and vote for Specter.

I believe what Bush did to the good people in Pennsylvania is just a foretaste of what he will do to all the Christians who so gleefully voted for him on Novemeber 2nd.

Take time to read the article (just click here) to learn a little history about Republican presidents and Supreme Court nominees. We've been telling people for years about these matters, but people just keep going back and getting kicked in the face and stabbed in the back for 30 years now.

We will be posting an election analysis on line very soon.

Separated unto the Gospel,

Pastor Matt Trewhella
