Color-Code Terror Alerts Remain In Force

Yes. The system, based on a series of warning colors, was unveiled after the 9-11 terrorist attacks. It moved from public obsession to an object of ridicule by some. But it appears it's not going anywhere yet. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has said that she hasn't had an opportunity to assess the threat level system, though she is aware of its challenges.
