Parents Get Jail For Failing To Send Daughter To State School

IRA, N.Y. -- Two parents who failed to ensure that their teenage daughter was attending school in central New York have been sentenced to 60 days in jail. Denise Reitz, 44, began serving her time behind bars Monday at the Cayuga County Jail after being sentenced by Ira Town Justice Paula Townsend, according to The Post-Standard of Syracuse.
