J. Gresham Machen: A Forgotten Libertarian

The parallel rise of theological liberalism and the growth of governmental power in this century in America, it could be argued, was hardly coincidental. Historic Christianity was abandoned by theological liberalism, and the "Social Gospel" movement - having given up on the Gospel - wished to impose its own vision of the City of God here on earth.
