Libraries balk at Patriot Act
If the government comes asking for information it has no right to, don't be afraid. Get angry. The ALA is leading efforts to roll back parts of the USA Patriot Act, which Congress approved without a hearing, debate or deliberation just six weeks after 9/11 to give the government, and the executive branch in particular, powers it thought it needed to pursue terrorists.
