Monument Shattered by Vandals
Ten Commandments Monument Shattered by VandalsANDERSON, Ind. -- Officials believe that vandals destroyed a Ten Commandments monument that formerly stood at the Indiana Statehouse. The 6-foot marker was shattered Sunday at the Anderson Eagles Lodge, where it had been displayed for about two years. Eagles members believe someone drove a vehicle into the monument, breaking it into 15 pieces, said Jack Elijah, past president of the lodge in the city northeast of Indianapolis. The damage was irreversible, he said. The monument was donated to the state in 1958 and stood on the Statehouse grounds until the early 1990s, said Jack Moore, the lodge secretary. It was kept in storage until the local lodge requested it and put it on display about two years ago.
Miss. House approves Ten Commandments bill
The Mississippi House voted 94-18 Wednesday for a bill allowing the Ten Commandments to be posted in any public building. The bill, House Bill 1309, was amended to also allow city halls or other public buildings to post the motto "In God We Trust" and the Beatitudes, listed in the book of Matthew.

Display Across from Courthouse
HAMILTON, Ga. -- Bobby Haralson and about 20 other men who meet weekday mornings for coffee and call themselves the Hamilton International Breakfast Club raised money for a 4-by-6 foot replica of the Ten Commandments. About 300 people attended a ceremony last week commemorating the $1,800 display. Ten Commandments-Georgia Inc., the organization founded in support of the display at the Barrow courthouse, hopes to gather 1.2 million signatures supporting public displays of the Commandments in courthouses and to register 600,000 voters by the fall.
Where's Luther, We Need Reformation
Several months ago a film titled "Luther" was released in the theaters. There was no fanfare, no great marketing plan to all the churches, or free viewing for church leaders and government employees. But it was a remarkable film and one that should have been viewed by every Christian before going to see "The Passion of the Christ."

'Passion' Youth Appeal
Who's seeing "The Passion of the Christ"? Much has been made of how the pic has brought in older auds who prefer church pews to megaplexes. But the pic is also pulling in younger, nonreligious auds. It is this bifurcated crowd that has turned Mel Gibson (news)'s crucifixion depiction into a cultural phenomenon which has racked up $224 million in its first two weeks of release.

From World Citizenship To World Government,
The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation
The problem with the concept of "world citizens" is that the term "citizen" (as opposed to "inhabitant" or "resident") implies a legal obligation. If you are the "citizen" of a state, you must abide by its laws. Thus if you are a "citizen" of the world, you must abide by world law. It has long been the goal of proponents of world government to use world citizenship to further their ends. In the NEA Journal (October 1947), National Education Association (NEA) official William Carr wrote: "Teach those attitudes which will result, ultimately in the creation of a world citizenship and world government."
How Secular Is “New Age” Education?
With all the hysteria about keeping God’s influence out of the schools in the fear that one religion would be represented to the detriment of another, I find it incredibly hypocritical that the proponents of New Age religious values have been able to influence the mission of our schools and more than one generation of students without anyone raising a stink about it! I charge the public schools with an ongoing promotion of Theosophy, a blend of Eastern religion with Western occultism under the pretext of secular humanism.
