Subtle Subversion - Medved Myths

Anyone who is not aware that the United States is in deep trouble needs to learn to read. Debt, private and public, is about to sink the good ship America into the sea of world government. The legal structure for Fascism has been set in place by the votes of the farcical individuals we continue to elect to our congress and we are on the brink of a police state. The heads of our Christian leaders being full of a selfish desire to build their own ministries and empty of true history and a zeal for the Kingdom of God have allowed a wicked belligerence to pervade their constituents and failed to inform them of the evil that is about to overwhelm us. In our current straits the Devil is delighted to erase our guilt and make our wickedness seem righteous.
On C-Span Mona Charen spoke with Michael Medved about his new book “The Ten Big Lies About America”. Both Charen and Medved are Orthodox Jews. Medved is popular in Christian circles and even considered a believer by some. Wikipedia informs us that he is Baal Teshuva (converted to Judaism). Charen’s Judaism appears to have been of longer standing. Medved is gushy on America. He fights against its detractors with pompous earnest.
The Torah, tradition, and the Talmud constitute the trinity of Judaism. The Torah is composed of the first five books of the Old Testament, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Judaism uses God’s Law as its platform but allays it with tradition and the Talmud. The invasion of the Promised Land is a significant part of the faith and the Talmud provides a substantive dose of racial superiority and contempt for Goyim (Gentiles). Forgiveness gives way to revenge and humility to arrogance. The Old Testament prophets who accurately predicted the fate of Israel are ignored. King David whose repentance was humble and whose behavior became obedient is not highly regarded. The cause of the Diaspora is missing; Paul, the Apostle, is derided; and Jesus remains a candidate for crucifixion.
Mona Charen approached the interview as a sister in flesh and spirit. Both are ardent Zionists and promoters of the George W. Bush Administration. Though Charen delicately prodded Medved on some issues she never provided a challenge.
Being Jewish is a huge advantage in gaining literary recognition or media coverage. I enjoy Larry King but am often rankled that the majority of his guests and commentators are selected from a group that makes up less than 3 percent of our population. This numerical anomaly is also apparent on C-Span’s book review programs. If I had written a book similar to Medved’s it would be gathering dust on my office shelf. But Medved’s anachronistic statements are published and given media coverage.
Selectively finding and advertising righteousness in the face of overwhelming evil is subversive. Medved knows that United States is in serious trouble. He graduated from Yale with honors. He is no fool; cunning maybe, but not foolish.
Referencing UCLA Professor Jared Diamond (he is Jewish) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_Diamond , Medved denies that the extermination of the domestic population of the new world was genocide and makes the shocking statement that 95% of America’s Indians died of smallpox. It is very unlikely that a Gentile would have been allowed to air such a view. Maybe I imagined it but even Charen seemed quietly critical.
Medved allowed that the European occupation of the new world was not a salutary event for the Indians but quickly mollified that statement by recounting examples of settlers attempting to protect the Indians. He contends that the massacre of the Indians was not genocide but a legitimate war. Hundreds of thousands of Indians died by disease and violence at the hand of Europeans who then took possession of the land; but it was not genocide. That is the belief Medved supports.
One American Indian responded: “Ever heard of the Trail of Tears, where 17,000 Cherokee people were forced to walk 1200 miles, about 4,000 people died along the Trail. Ever heard of the massacre at Wounded Knee, where 300 people mainly women and children were gunned down and massacred, ever heard of Sand Creek massacre of the Cheyenne people, the Long Walk of the Dineh (Navajo) people? Ever heard of the brutal hanging in Mankato, MN where President Lincoln ordered the hanging of 30 American Indian men, for no reason other than they were Indian. Did you know that Andrew Jackson was responsible for the Trail of Tears? The Governments blatant extermination campaign of the wild buffalo, was a perfect example of the attempt to annihilate or assimilate the Tribes into modern day society. I could continue this list of massacres all day, but would it help you to even begin to understand what genocide is? Probably not!”
Medved maintains that the Indian massacres were “legitimate” wars with casualties on both sides. He and his fellow Zionists support the expansion of neo-Israel and, if Americans can come to regard the elimination of hundreds of Indian tribes as legitimate warfare, we might be willing to accept as righteous the theory that might makes right and the expansion of neo-Israel should cause us no concern. That is cunning!
Chicanery is often accompanied by elements of truth. Medved takes the stout Conservative position that Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Socialism hurt rather than helped the nation. He points to Black reparations as preposterous saying that Obama might logically be forced to pay reparations to his children. He attempts to alleviate blame for the institution of slavery by pointing out that it was common worldwide and U. S. participation was relatively minor. He dislikes the ACLU and maintains the United States was founded as a Christian nation. Along with a healthy amount of wickedness there are elements of truth in all of his positions.
Medved supports Federalism. He contends United States is not imperialistic and denies the existence of a world conspiracy. He has the megaphone and the bully pulpit while his detractors strain their voices in vain. On his radio program he uses Sean Hannity’s method of talking down and over credible evidence.
His bile is quickly aroused by any hint of criticism toward neo-Israel. He seems to hate Ron Paul, sending him a crude letter including the following statements “Your presidential campaign has drawn the enthusiastic support of an imposing collection of Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, Holocuast Deniers, 9/11 Truthers and other paranoid and discredited conspiracists….More specifically, your columns have been featured for several years in the American Free Press, a publication of the nations leading Holocaust Denier and anti-Semitic agitator, Willis Carto.”
Self-righteousness has so absorbed Medved that he fails to apprehend the clash between his position on the Indian genocide and his position on the Holocaust. To his Talmudic mind the Jewish Holocaust is sacrosanct but the destruction of the Indians was really not serious. His position appears to be that the only gencide worth mentioning is the Jewish Holocaust - haute at its worst.
Webster’s defines genocide thusly: “the systematic killing of, or a program of action intended to destroy, a whole national or ethnic group.” Hitler did intend to eliminate Jews and European settlers certainly intended to occupy Indian land and when the Indians retaliated they certainly intended to kill them – all of them. Many tribes were entirely massacred. Jews were more fortunate than the Indians; many survived. They have prospered and gained inordinate power throughout the world while the remnants of the American Indian tribes have languished.
Judaism regards Jesus as a heretic deserving death. This makes their support of Christianity suspect. I shudder when Christianity is referred to as Judeo-Christian. The god of Judaism bears little resemblance to the Christian God of the Bible. Medved’s association with Christians should be as questionable as his attempt to allay the judgment of God on our nation.
Being an equal hater of all political change, Medved reserves a portion of venom for the Constitution Party. He refers to it as “constipation party” and says it is a religious cult for “irrelevant” and “childish” drinkers of “Kool-Aide” and “delusional, demented jerks”.
Loving ones country involves seeing it as it is and seeking to make it better. Both major political parties, conservative and liberal, are false gods that are leading us to destruction. Christians need to seek truth and follow righteousness. God’s commandments are righteous. The Christian Bible contains all of God’s Word; the Torah does not. The Talmud and Jewish tradition distort God’s Word. This is a time when repentance and obedience are sorely needed. Biblical false prophets prophesied peace and prosperity while God’s true prophets suffered persecution and death for truthfully predicting a coming disaster. Michael Medved is a subtly subversive false prophet.
