The Heresy Narcotic Is Killing Christianity

When the Evangelical Christian church embraced Dispensationalism and discarded God’s Laws they injected an heretical narcotic into the Christian ethic.
I have written numerous times that man was not created to govern himself and when he ignores God’s immutable Law and writes his own statutes he creates chaos and tyranny.
In a more lucid description of the results of ignoring God’s Laws, the late Rev. Rousas Rushdoony wrote:
“If God’s absolute law is replaced with anarchistic freedom, then meaning is withdrawn from the world, and a responsible witness ceases, because there is no one to be responsible to, no God who can absolutely require man to be responsible to Himself and to His world of men.”
“Whenever man, institutions and societies forsake God, they forsake reality. They cease to bear true and responsible witness and begin to live a lie because in the world of the lie, they can play god. The church which believes it can live in the world and neglect the problems of the world is living in a realm of dreams.”
“When responsible witness ceases, then men have neither the ability to face reality nor the ability to be free. He becomes chained to false witness of his own imagination…The believers in democracy are also prisoners of their lie; they create deep and savage class and race hostilities by law and call it peace and equality.” See page 594 of The Institutes of Biblical Law.
Murder did not tarry long after man’s decent into evil. Cain soon killed Abel and the scenario of domination began. Recorded history provides a litany of humanistic mass murder. Ancient Israel was conquered and exiled, The Roman Empire, established by war, was attacked by the Huns and in Asia similar wars of conquest resulted in humanistic dominion over land and inhabitants. In our own nation, an ugly genocide almost wiped out the entire indigenous population.
Nevertheless, the freedom bell rang loudly for our ancestors. Some of them fought and died in a Revolution to throw off British domination. There was and is great fanfare over our Constitution and over the Democratic Republic it created. The crafters of our Constitution did not produce a Christian document. Instead, meeting in secret, they hammered out a secular document with the hope it would restrain the ubiquitous, secular sin of tyranny. The Constitution does not encompass the provisions God gave us in His Laws and even when obeyed does not provide for the obedience our Creator requires. It is a startling fact that in a new nation, overwhelmingly Christian, the founding document does not even mention the name of Christ. Of their creation Ben Franklin quipped “…a Republic, if you can keep it”.
But as Reverend Rushdoony pointed out, democracy fails the reality test.
By the time the Constitution was written the Reformed Faith as constituted during the Protestant Reformation, the Faith brought to our shores by the Puritans and Pilgrims, had been overcome by anarchy and divided into scores of separate and competing religious entities. By the late Eighteenth century a plethora of interpretations of the Biblical narrative made it impossible, even if they had wanted to, to incorporate one entity in the founding document. The new nation was 98 percent Christian but “Christian” had a variety of meanings.
There were Episcopalians, Congregationalists, Methodists, Quakers, Catholics, Presbyterians, Baptists, Lutherans, Unitarians, and others. The independent spirit that pervaded colonial America added fuel to the fire that ignited a firestorm of individual, heretical Biblical interpretation.
In spite of the fact that Arminianism had been condemned by the Council of Dort, the Wesley brothers developed their own unique formula for conversion and assiduously preached it throughout the new world. Unitarianism allowed unlimited personal interpretation. Arminianism endowed the creature with power to resist the Creator robbing God of sovereignty and pulled the rug from under the doctrine of choseness that had made a unique body of those upon whom God laid His hand.
President Thomas Jefferson abhorred the Old Testament and created his own Bible using selected teachings from the New Testament. Later, Charles Finney standardized evangelism with his own humanistic touch. Roger Smith created Mormanism with additions to the Holy Writ. Dispensationalism succeeded in removing God’s Laws from the Christian ethic and denuding it by creating an idol of the nation of Israel. Billy Graham’s Arminian evangelism made useless Christians of hundreds of thousands of United States citizens while the nation languished in degradation. Now, in our time, churches garner thousands of members by attempting to make the Creator of the Universe a servant to His own creation.
Even though obedience is a pre-requisite to the success of any legal system, establishing a state religion of Christianity might have been better than opening the door to multi-religionism and breaking the first of God’s Ten Commandments from the very beginning.
God’s Laws are the definition of righteousness and the instruments of dominion. Without them man is left to his own serious inadequacies.
The U. S. Government propaganda machine has chided the Islamic legal system (Sharia) and vilified their government as Fascistic. This denigration has spilled over onto the Christian legal code resulting in an immediate comparison with the Taliban when the Statutes of our Christian God are supported.
When we fall under the spell of an evil government and allow it to blacken the legal code of the Islamic faith, we allow the camel’s nose under the tent of the legal system the One True God gave to Moses and further empower Satan.
Islam is a cultic faith but the nations that abide by Sharia law are a full step ahead of the majority of United States Christians; they have accepted the fact that man was not created to govern himself.
Abiding by the laws of a supreme being is a direct affront to humanism. The legal standards of the One True God have already been substantially wiped out in the United States and from its secular base our government is attacking the laws of the Islamic god.
All religions are exclusive and when humanism was allowed into our nation in our Constitution and in Arminian religions it began to grow and to blot out orthodox Christianity. Two centuries later the nation that was 98 percent Christian has become officially secular even though 70 percent of our population still claims the name of Christ.
President George W. Bush has stated that Muslims worship the same God as Christians. Multi-religionism allows support for all religions and feeds into the concept of a new world religion that is all inclusive. The concept, now inclusive, if accepted would quickly become exclusive.
Many Christians do not understand that humanism is a competing religion using the intellectual determinations of men as the supreme power in the universe. Secular Western governments are using every means to plant the humanist religion in the Muslim world. If they are successful, with or without military force, the nations of the Middle East will join Israel and the United States as secular states.
When Evangelical Christians denigrate God’s Laws by claiming that Grace supersedes them they open the door to secular law and rule by the Devil’s minions. The Grace provided by our Lord Jesus provides forgiveness from sin and nulls the ability of God’s Laws to condemn the sinner. It does not, however, void His Statutes as the standard of behavior and the tool of dominion for all Christians nor does it alter obedience as God’s premier objective. It is by Grace that Christians seek to be obedient and have the power to modify their sinful lives.
We are living in a time when Constitutional multi-religionism has robbed Christianity of its strength while man-made multi-culturalism has robbed us of our Christian culture.
United States Christianity has become heavily addicted to the narcotic of heresy.
“What shall I render unto the Lord, that, whilst my memory recalls these things, my soul is not affrighted at them? I will love Thee, O Lord, and thank Thee, and confess unto Thy name; because Thou hast forgiven me these so great and heinous deeds of mine. To Thy grace I ascribe it, and to Thy mercy, that Thou hast melted away my sins as it were ice. To Thy grace I ascribe also whatsoever I have not done of evil; for what might I not have done, who even loved a sin for its own sake? Yea, all I confess to have been forgiven me; both what evils I committed by my own wilfulness, and what by Thy guidance I committed not. What man is he, who, weighing his own infirmity, dares to ascribe his purity and innocency to his own strength; that so he should love Thee the less, as if he had less needed Thy mercy, whereby Thou remittest sins to those that turn to Thee? For whosoever, called by Thee, followed Thy voice, and avoided those things which he reads me recalling and confessing of myself, let him not scorn me, who being sick, was cured by that Physician, through whose aid it was that he was not, or rather was less, sick: and for this let him love Thee as much, yea and more; since by whom he sees me to have been recovered from such deep consumption of sin, by Him he sees himself to have been from the like consumption of sin preserved.”
