Another Wakeup Call - Is It Too Late?

For they are not a people of discernment, therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them, and their Creator will not be gracious to them. Isaiah 27:11
The late Rousas Rushdoony’s Dominion Theology creates great rancor in the hearts of rebellious pagans and Christians both of whom often denounced it with little understanding of its implications.
Rushdoony did not become popular with politicians. His speaking engagements did not draw stadium sized crowds and his writings do not command popular readership. He did not attempt to act out a false humility or pander to popularity. He was a studious, straight forward, no-nonsense, servant of the Savior who was loyal to the Calvinistic roots of the Faith and willing to put forth the truth and live with retort; a retort that continues with hordes of unlovable critics expressing unwarranted disgust and fear about living under God‘s legal prescriptions.
Nevertheless, the truth presented on one page of his Institutes of Biblical Law could surpass a lifetime of the pap that emanates from most of our seeker friendly Christian pulpits where the doctrine of “building my church” regularly overcomes the meat of the Gospel.
Around the nation, many main line denominational churches have abandoned the God of the Bible and substituted the god of men; Evangelicals are intent on getting the populace into God’s Heaven without requiring obedience to His Statutes; Charismatics are preaching healing, gifts, shivers, and blessings to full churches; Catholics continue to make the church more important than the Savior; and even Reformed pastors, many of whom are on target with their theology, substitute expository preaching for confronting the wholesale sin that has overcome us.
The doctrine of speaking truth to power runs deep through the pages of the Bible. Nathan confronted King David at the risk of his life. Elijah confronted evil king Ahab, Jeremiah languished in a muddy cistern for opposing King Zedekiah’s war. John the Baptist lost his head for naming the sexual sin of the Roman tetrarch Herod. Jesus, Our Savior, set the stage for His own crucifixion by confronting powerful Jewish Priests. God clearly seeks confrontation of evil power with Godly righteousness.
Though the office of the Prophet has been lost the doctrine remains. Christians are to seek righteousness by confronting evil!
My Reformed pastor contends that we have different ministries. He maintains that his ministry should be confined to expository preaching while mine is writing about the ills of our society.
Individual essays are puny compared to the potential power of thousands of pulpits. But, alas, it has not and will not happen, the heretical doctrine of “building my church” has superseded the doctrine of confrontation.
Confronting evil is the leading edge of God’s Will. Righteousness cannot prevail when God’s servants fail to challenge evil.
If the government began arresting Christians would your minister be included? Would there be enough evidence that he was attempting to supplant the kingdom of man with the Kingdom of God to warrant his arrest? Is your minister overtly at odds with abortion, homosexuality and dishonest, treasonous government; does he noticeably abhor the denigration of Christianity that regularly fills our media and press? What does he preach? Does he preach a save ‘em and enslave ‘em message? Is he a gifts and praise preacher? How about the end times? Does he preach a paralyzing apocalyptic message? Maybe he is using expository preaching to evade his responsibility to confront a deteriorating social order.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ has only one proper emphasis: Obedience. Throughout the Holy Writ the salient desire of God’s Heart is that His chosen people obey Him. It is not obedience to the Holy Spirit, though that is necessary, but obedience to God’s commandments that is the highest calling of every Christian. Not only are we to obey but our primary mission is to bring all of God’s creation into obedience. Every real Christian will have access to Heaven through the propitiation of Jesus, Our Savior, but obedience, only obedience, will save the world!
You may love your church and the loving people who attend it but if your Christian leader is not drawing the ire of contemporary church and governmental leadership he is not preaching a Biblical message. We are living in a cesspool and churches that do not confront it are heretical and worthless.
It is time for the pulpits and the pew sitters to wake up!
Do our voters really want to be governed by criminals? If you have listened to the debates and are gifted with at least the mentality of a cucumber you will discern that Ron Paul is the only candidate who believes elected officials should obey the highest law of the land. All of the other candidates, all of them, are willing to breach their oath of office and allow some element of criminality to continue to flavor our political system.
Recently, C-Span trotted out ubiquitous commentator David Gergen, hubristic shrimp George Stephanopoulos, and quietly arrogant Jim Lehrer to discuss the candidates. In spite of the fact that Ron Paul receives the most enthusiastic responses and in the opinion of the listeners has won most of the debates, his name was not mentioned. In a past interview, Stephanopoulos arrogantly told Ron Paul he would not get the nomination. Gergen, Stephanopoulos, and Lehrer are all members of Council on Foreign Relations, a premier promoter of globalization.
Chuck Baldwin wrote a column entitled “The ’Fix’ is In”. He believes Hillary Clinton has been anointed to win the Presidency. No, gentle reader, the political parties do not choose their candidates for president. The candidates are chosen by the elite power brokers who control whomever is elected to the presidency. It makes no difference whether Hillary or Rudolph is elected, either will continue the exact same policies that are now and have for decades been dragging us into Fascistic world government.
The Christian church and the government of the United States are in similar circumstances. The church has forsaken God’s Laws and in the process lost sight of righteousness while the government has forsaken the Constitution and lost sight of right and wrong.
And you, Mr. and Mrs. America, are you part of the problem or part of the solution? If you are attending or seeking a church that serves your needs rather than attending or seeking a church that serves God’s needs, you are part of the problem.
The Dispensational writ has crowned the nation of Israel and urged Christians to genuflect before an idol. Israel is a rogue nation; not a precursor to the Second Coming. Judaism, like Islam, is a cultish religion without access to the One True God.
King Jesus is the ONLY door to God and you, dear Christian, are standing at that door. Why not go in?
In these perilous times God seeks obedient disciples who have matured into a full orbed Christianity and who are willing to confront the wholesale sin that our negligence has brought about.
Pastors, Preachers, and Christian leaders, the founders of this nation, both Pilgrims and Puritans, brought with them a sound Christian Faith that had been refined by time and suffering and had matured into a Gospel fit to transform the world. You and those you serve have allowed that Gospel to fall into worthless flaccidity and the part of God’s creation in which you minister to fall into the hands of the Devil.
Wake up and stand up for Jesus. Live right, preach right, vote right, and confront wrong!
Be willing to suffer, for in this era if you are not suffering, you are not pleasing God!
“I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.” Acts 9:16
