The Old Switcheroo Back To The Beginning

Beloved reader, let me suggest in this essay the primary reason why hubris, avarice, war, conspiracy, murder, starvation and chaos are prominent in our world.
When God chose to reveal Himself to Abram in the Twelfth Chapter of Genesis, a covenant was made between the One True God and Abram. God promised great things; He promised to create a new nation; He promised to bless Abram and to make him a blessing; and He vowed that by Abram’s obedience “all the families of the earth shall be blessed“. Abram’s covenantal obligation required him to go forth from his country and from his relatives and from his fathers house to a new land. He obeyed.
In the Nineteenth Chapter of Exodus, God made another covenant with the Nation of Israel through Moses , “Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the people, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” All the people of Israel agreed to be obedient and in the following Chapter God gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Obedience was a covenantal obligation.
In the Thirtieth Chapter of Deuteronomy another covenant was made. God promised to scatter and to restore the people of Israel. He said, “I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments….but if your heart turns away and you will not obey…you shall surely perish.” Again, obedience was a covenantal obligation.
God made two more covenants with His people. In the Seventh Chapter of Second Samuel God covenanted with David to establish his Kingdom forever thus cementing lineage to The Savior.
Then in the Thirty-First Chapter of Jeremiah came the New Covenant which pointed to the coming of Messiah who would write God’s Laws on the hearts of the citizens of Judah and Israel.
Much could be written about each of these covenants but I mention them for one reason: Each of these Godly agreements involved obedience to His Laws and judgments.
The Bible is overflowing with promises of good for God’s people. He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. However, the rewards God promises are always contingent on prior obedience.
God’s Protestant Christian churches offer an assortment of competitive institutions that provide houses of worship to laymen seeking where they can derive the most for themselves and their families. Selecting a church home often involves attending several institutions looking for friendliness and informative, entertaining, peaceful preaching.
Worship services that include sublime contemporary Christian music with heavy emotional emphasis are popular and with talented leadership provide a strong attraction. Half an hour or more of praise and worship is not uncommon in many American churches.
Preachers vying for members often select scripture that promises blessings and regale their parishioners with sublime promises. Other ploys involve the congregation in a competition by teaching steps to maturity and the qualities necessary for leadership.
Even proud preachers who use the text as an expository source seldom drive home confrontational edicts.
God’s servants minister to congregants who have itchy ears and are unwilling to contend with the meat of the Gospel.
In an additional quest for spiritual ecstasy millions of Evangelical Christian neophytes offer fanatical support to the Zionist agenda hoping for a Second Coming that will transport them from the rank and pervasive evil that has overtaken our entire world.
They are supporting a concept conceived by this simple correspondence:

I have much pleasure in conveying to you, on behalf of His Majesty's Government, the following declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations which has been submitted to, and approved by, the Cabinet.
"His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."

The context under which this letter was written was not nearly as simple as the letter itself. Theories concerning the motivation behind it abound but regardless of their validity, in the aftermath of the Holocaust there was explosive pressure from European Jewry to validate the agreement.
Now moribund, the post WW I League of Nations was replaced after WW II with an equally despotic organization called the United Nations. This new organization set forth the boundaries for the fledgling nation of Israel by dividing Palestine thus confiscating land for a new Jewish State. Arabs surrounding this new entity were uniformly opposed.
This official expropriation lit the fuse on an explosive pilgrimage of Jews desiring to immigrate to the Holy Land. Many came from Europe, some came from America, others came from Russia and elsewhere. There was consummate and immediate Arab resistance.
American Zionists provided quick and lavish support for the new nation. United States was first to recognize what the United Nations had birthed and inordinate quantities of U. S. government aid began quickly and accelerated through the years. Tiny Israel backed by the United States became a thousand pound gorilla among a colony of monkeys.
As the new nation grew in size and population it expanded onto lands not included in the original grant. The surrounding Arab nations were quickly outgunned by a more sophisticated and larger Jewish army and the terrorist attacks on innocent civilians began. These attacks were reminiscent of the warfare American Indians used to discourage expansion in colonial America.
The planting of this new nation with its gigantic underlying implications in the midst of an alien population has resulted in close to fifty years of continual strife.
It is my contention that when God made a covenant with Abram to create a great nation, and Joshua with His blessing and support raped and subdued the Promised Land, it was a one time miraculous action that was not meant to be a pattern for future generations. Those who follow the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, though they be theologically stunted in Judaism or full orbed as the Puritans and Pilgrims, can no longer expect God’s blessing when they forcefully overcome the populations of alien lands and occupy them.
United States is a home to millions of Christian Zionists who grant unconditional support to Israel because they see it as an agent of the Second Coming and of their transport to Heaven.
International Jewry supports Israel as a haven for God’s Chosen People and the potential seat of coming world domination.
There is grave error and irreconcilable conflict in and between both positions.
When Adam bit the voluptuous apple proffered by comely Eve he became like God, knowing both good and evil. This original sin has been rampant in God’s creation since that ancient day and in our time takes the form of both Israel and America attempting to bring about an event about which God’s own Son professed ignorance. Both are playing God.
Playing God is pervasive in our Christian churches and pandemic in Zionists and much of neutral Jewry as well; instead of obeying God’s Laws and humbly serving Him, His Laws are regularly ignored and those He created engage themselves in attempting to enlist Him as their servant. Instead of following His scenario by obediently seeking His Kingdom they attempt to get Him to serve them by following scenarios they have created!
Without any attempt to obey God’s Laws or to serve His purposes International Jewry is bent on recapturing land they lost while maintaining the same secular condition for which they lost it. With the identical attitude Christ condemned in the Pharisees they are determined to bend God to their own ill-begotten agenda. Attempts to usurp God’s throne will fail.
Following them in this ignoble quest are hordes of childish American Christians whose leaders have promised them the multiple blessings of obedience but have failed to teach them what they are to obey. As a result, they attend heretical churches each Sunday expecting that as Satan wins the battle they will be taken up into the clouds to be with Christ in heaven.
Yes, it is a beautiful thought but the platform on which it rests is not only bogus but pernicious and disgraceful. We are living under the New Covenant. Christ has come, died for our sins, and sent His Spirit to write His Laws on our deceitful hearts. Since our hearts still contain evil, He has given us unchanging written legal mandates in His Word that remain as a yardstick to our conduct. We are empowered to seek dominion over His creation; not by force but by the powerful attraction of winsome obedience.
Every contemporary Christian is enjoined to live under and promote God’s Laws. Only obedience to His legal standards can bring peace to the world.
Zionism has a religious platform that rests on anachronistic promises to re-establish the nation of Israel. Christians who become entangled in this heresy ignore Jesus’ emphatic statement the He is the ONLY Way to the Father.
Both Christians and Jews must stop playing God by attempting to make Him a servant and instead they must accept the propitiation provided by God’s Son in the New Covenant, obey God’s Laws, and leave the conduct of world affairs in the hands of the One who created it.
We must be God’s servants; it is evil hubris to seek to make Him ours!
