The Quarter Wars II
I'll Try To Get It Right This Time

Someone said concerning “The Quarter Wars” , my last post, that some of my writings were “deep”. Being “deep” means hard to understand, abstruse, or esoteric. The word has a slightly complimentary flavor since it might be defined as intellectually demanding.

Believe me, dear reader, I did not intend to be “deep”. My intention is to clearly define and describe the subject of the essay and when I fail to do so it is because the thought behind the piece was probably not entirely clear and the muddle in my mind was reflected in the article.

The Quarter Wars” title is a bit punned since both extending quarter to the enemy and fighting wars at less than full potential are possible meanings. Evil wars cannot muster the zeal of participants in righteous wars.

I have always been interested in God’s command to His Chosen People, “And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; though shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make not covenant with them nor shew mercy unto them:…..” Deuteronomy 7:2. Preachers and most Christians seem to avoid these passages.

Today’s Christians have become deaf to the tones of the Old Testament and God’s perspective concerning His chosen people is not properly taught. Many Christian do no understand that they have been chosen and are distinct from heathen; a special people endowed with the power and might of Almighty God and blessed with His eternal favor.

God is an ally to His people and when righteous wars must be fought, His power and His might accompany them into the battle. It was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who went forth with His people to conquer the Promised Land and it was the victories God provided through fierce, fearless, and confident warriors that created a spirit of fear in those who were not yet conquered.

God’s Wisdom dictated the annihilation of the inhabitants of the Promised Land and it was His people’s disobedience that caused the multitudes of problems that followed. We worship an exclusive God. God’s loyal spokesman, Samuel, who at His directive had anointed King Saul, relayed to him God’s commands for the battle with Amalek “Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both men and women, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” When King Saul returned from the battle he said to Samuel, “I have performed the commandment of the Lord.” Samuel replied, “What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in my ears and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?” King Saul had disobeyed God’s command, sparing the life of Agag, the Amalek King, along with the best of the livestock.

With an arrogant spirit of compassion (Yes, disobedient compassion is arrogant!) and an ugly avarice, God’s Chosen King and often His people as well resisted His mandates.

The Bible outlines the disobedience and though it does not specifically specify the spirit behind it, it clearly delineates the sinful humanism involved in acting out perceived superior wisdom.

How many times have I spoken with American Christian leaders, called by God to be His regents, and inquired about their failure to address contemporary social and governmental sins? Often they replied with a prideful assertion that they were expository preachers. While I believe a detailed explanation of the Biblical texts is helpful and instructive it fails to conform to the framework of the Bible.

When righteous Josiah became King he “brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images, that were on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them, and stowed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.”

Shortly thereafter Hilkiah, Josiah’s high priest, in the process of renovating the Temple found the book of the Law. He read the Law to King Josiah and the King tore his clothing and shortly realized the wrath that God would be forced to visit on the nation for having disobeyed His Commandments. Inquiry of the prophetess Shallum brought a word from God that because of Josiah’s humility the punishment would be postponed during his lifetime.

Then Josiah gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem and all the men of Judah “and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests and the Levites and all the people great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the Lord.”

Please note, righteous Josiah did not do any expository preaching about evil altars, images, carvings, and molten images nor about the newly found Commandments; instead, he took action breaking down the evil creations and vowing to obey God’s Commandments. Preaching that does not require specific action is a useless exercise.

The United States of America, our nation, is being dismantled and foisted into the North American Union which will erase the borders between Mexico, United States, and Canada. This imperialistic procedure has been in the works for several decades and is a part of the New World Order being imposed on the world by a nameless cabal. It is not a national endeavor but more closely resembles the intentions of the Goldfinger character in the James Bond movies. Although a physical war might be used the primary weapon is financial; an anonymous but powerful attempt to enslave the world by controlling the money. It is gargantuan in scope and unprecedented in history.

This malicious enterprise receives no publicity and current events are the only evidence of its progression. Our Southern borders have been overrun on purpose. Complaining about the event itself is useless. The results of this alien invasion are a loss of our cultural heritage, a serious blow to our sovereignty, a callous disregard for those whose sacrifices helped to build our nation, and a major drain on our wealth. The seriousness of this invasion should require the army to shoot anyone who violates our borders. But President Bush is a Globalist and open borders are part of his evil agenda. The rape of our markets is also part of the plan as is the loss of our industrial base. Exporting our wealth makes us more suitable for joining in the new alignment of nations. All of the so-called free trade agendas are part of this malicious endeavor. NAFTA, GATT, and CAFT are designed to siphon our wealth to third world nations and entangle us in an international legal web.

These are the plans of the Evil One. Hatched and implemented in darkness they fly in the face of God’s intentional division of the world’s people. The perpetrators are immoral secularists who not only hate the One True God but seek to replace His mandates with the ultimate tyranny of their own bumptious and anarchic opinions.

They are at war with the One True God, with Christianity and with the Christian population of the United States and to date they have marched their troops throughout our land without significant opposition. Yes, some of our naďve Christian leaders have complained about the results of the conspiracy but as yet few have struck at the root. Many of our leaders eschew the battle by sticking to expository preaching and others have actually made an alliance with the Devil.

Yes, it is difficult to oppose a government most people wish to trust. However, failure of Christian leaders to speak out against evil in high places allows it to flourish and is an omission even more wicked than the problem it creates.

This night on C-Span I listened as Brian Lamb interviewed Chalmers Johnson author of The Sorrows of Empire. Johnson’s interview was refreshingly honest but also depressingly hopeless. Brian Lamb asked specifically about his lack of hope and Johnson admitted he considered the current problems in the American Republic insoluble.

My own reasoning is in total agreement with Chalmers Johnson. However, neither Chalmers Johnson‘s nor my own reasoning is God’s standard for His chosen people.

When Hezekiah was king of Judah, Sennacherib the king of Assyria amassed a massive force with intent to make war on Jerusalem. In response Hezekiah assembled his military and said this to the leaders “With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” Following prayers and cries to heaven by king Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah “the Lord sent an angel who cut down every mighty man of valor, leader, and captain in the camp of the king of Assyria.” The complete story can be found in the 32nd Chapter of the Book of Second Chronicles.

Christians, WAKE UP! We serve an all powerful God who will fight on our side.

Several things need to be done:

    1. Every American Christian must repent, ask God’s forgiveness for failing to engage in the battle and for supporting a malicious and sinful government. With humility we must commit our lives to Him and with prayer and supplication seek His support.

    2. Christians must understand that they did not become followers of the One True God by chance but were specifically chosen.

    3. Breaching but one of God’s loving commandments is disobedient and requires the precious blood of God’s own Son for cleansing. Our leaders must stop being seduced by phony professions of faith and quit supporting evil political parties. Voting for a little evil is similar to breaking one of His Ten Commandments. Christians who have cast their votes for varying degrees of sin need to repent and never again knowingly vote for evil.

    4. The only hope for the nation is the intervention of our all powerful Christian God and His intervention must ultimately involve conformance to His Legal mandates.

    5. All Christians, and particularly leaders, must begin to confront the evil being done by our politicians and by the hidden cabal to whom they are beholden.

    6. With few exceptions, every congressman and senator should be voted out of office and replaced with law abiding legislators. Many of these men and women are guilty of treason and should be held accountable.

    7. The hour is late and the need is urgent.

Now, back to my incomplete description in The Quarter Wars: The battle for righteousness in America is being lost by default. God will always fight on the side of His people but His people need to engage in the battle. We need to pray but we must also act on the prayers we submit. Hezekiah organized his army and prepared for the battle before God intervened.

The battle for rectitude in America is a righteous war and if the American Christian army is willing to seek God’s face and with a fierce humility and unbending determination engage the enemy, the assurance that their quest is righteous and that victory is assured will stem the evil tide and return to our nation the freedom and respect it once enjoyed.

Quarter wars avail us less and victory cannot be achieved with half way measures. We are God’s own chosen people and He will fight on our side. But we must fight with the ferocity and conviction that victory is assured because our God cannot lose.

Christian preachers, pastors, ministers, and priests take heed! Yours is a greater responsibility. Leaders are expected to organize and instruct their followers. All preaching must now address the evil that overshadows our world. Expository preaching must support victory in the War Against the Present Evil.

American Christians are physically and theologically Balkanized making human leadership almost impossible. However, with God, Himself, as our General we can march with assurance that we are being properly led. Individual pastors and preachers in individual churches are the key to victory.

This is a call for America’s Christian pastors, preachers, ministers, and priests to individually begin to confront the evils being carried out by our government, to educate and rally their flocks against these evils and support and join the victory march under the triumphant flag of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

This battle is at the cutting edge of the Will of God in our present day. It is between the secular minions of Devilish world government and the individual and national responsibilities outlined in God’s Word.

If we mobilize and fight with the assurance of victory we will win!

Hallelujah!
