Pastor Cleared of Hate Speech

News Wire:
Pastor placed the Bible against pro-sodomite
hate crimes law and the Word of God wins!

Sweden’s highest court Tuesday acquitted a Pentecostal pastor accused of hate speech for having denounced homosexuality as “a deep cancerous tumour on all of society,” and that sodomites engage in “bestiality”. Pastor Ake Green told the Supreme Court that his sermons were meant to warn sodomites that their lifestyle will result in an “eternal divorce” from God. Green said the Supreme Court ruling was a relief both for him and other preachers. "This means we can continue to speak the way we have, and therefore it feels very good that they have ruled in way that that there should not be any infringement in our way of preaching," he told Swedish public radio.

White Flag Christianity

Commentary by Al Cronkrite,
Losing Battle By Battle.
In Ephesians the Apostle Paul admonished Christians when they had done all possible to "stand". Christians need to note that the Apostle did not recommend taking a step back but rather recommended that we "stand" - offering no compromise! Christianity cannot be maintained without conflict. Christians who seek peace at the cost of purity can never be trusted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Abortions Dropped After Arson

Pro-Life News:
State Rep. plans bill to force taxpayers
to buy insurance for abortion clinics.

When an arsonist torched their clinic nearly a year ago, Eastside Women’s "Health" Clinic owners vowed not to let fear keep them from providing abortions. But when they reopen the clinic, after a year working out of a double-wide trailer in the parking lot, there will be no more abortions. Churches Closed on Christmas?

Commentary by Paul Proctor,
Will Your Church Be Closed For Christmas?
It was brought to my attention recently by someone whose daughter was so disappointed by her church's decision to not hold worship services on Sunday, December 25th that she wrote her pastor in protest. After telling the young lady how much he loved her, this courageous Man of God actually chastised her for questioning the consensus; citing, among other things, the difficulty of rounding up day care workers on Christmas.

Washington's 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation
George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation:
WHEREAS, it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

NOW, THEREFORE, I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

AND also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

GIVEN under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.

Why God Raised Up This Place

Commentary by Chuck Baldwin,
The newest video sermon is entitled, "Why God Raised Up This Place." It was preached last Sunday morning on the occasion of my, and Crossroad Baptist Church's (the church that my wife and I founded), 30th anniversary. Rush Limbaugh likes to say that his radio show is on the cutting edge of societal evolution. Well, I can truthfully say that Crossroad Church is on the cutting edge of spiritual revolution! I invite you to watch my video sermons for yourself and see if you do not agree.

Was America A Christian Nation?

Commentary by Al Cronkrite,
You May Be Surprised.
Since the varied opinions of men are often evil, those who impose man-made-law must ultimately resort to tyranny. This is a maxim the Founders failed to apprehend and the American people either have forgotten or do not understand, otherwise the overarching Laws of God would never have been ignored and we might still be guided by their preeminent mandates.

Baby Dies After Circumcision

News Wire:
Rabbi sucks the blood from child's newly
circumcised penis, spreads herpes to babies.

A short time ago Rabbi Yitzchok Fischer performed a circumcision on twins from Brooklyn, New York. One of the twins died from a herpes infection carried by that same Rabbi. Apparently in some orthodox circles, during the rite of circumcision, the mohel (Rabbi who specializes in circumcisions) suck the blood from the child's newly circumcised penis. The health department ordered this rabbi to stop doing these rituals. But Mayor Bloomberg said they don't have a right to interfere with "religion." And as far as we know, this rabbi is still carrying on this devilish act.

Activist To Appeal FACE Act

Pro-Life News:
The conviction of a man who rammed a delivery van into a Houston Planned Parenthood clinic is just another step in his legal challenge to the federal government's protection of abortion clinics through a trumped up spurious law. Frank Lafayette Bird Jr., 64, intends to appeal his conviction on one count of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act. Bird doesn't challenge the facts presented by prosecutors, but argues that the law is unconstitutional.

Anabaptists and State Religion

Commentary by David Alan Black,
While the doctrine of freedom of conscience is found in Luther and Calvin, it does not seem to have been developed by them. In Anabaptist theology, faith comes from inner conviction, not external compunction. In the early church this meant that Christians could not acknowledge Caesar as Lord. All this changed with the accession of the “thirteenth apostle” – a title accorded to Constantine by the Council of Nicaea. Translating the emperor cult into Christian terms, Constantine presided over a church that was becoming more and more non-Christian.

Big Lies and Little Lies

by Rep. Ron Paul, MD.
Scooter Libby has been indicted for lying. This case, like almost everything in Washington, has been driven by politics-- not truth, justice, or the Constitution. There are much more serious charges of lying and cover-ups that deserve congressional attention. The country now knows the decision to go to war in Iraq was based on information that was not factual. Congress and the people of this country were misled. Because of this, more than 2,000 U.S. troops and many innocent people have died. Tens of thousands have been severely wounded, their lives forever changed if not totally ruined.

Letter to the Editor,

I am very disappointed with George Bush's nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. Did our President secretly make a back door deal with the pope when he met with him in the Vatican before the 2004 election? Do we want Supreme Court Justices who believe in the pope's Temporal Power? Any judge who does is a direct threat to the U.S. Constitution and our national sovereignty.
