Kentucky's Fetal Homicide Bills 'Exempt Abortion'
Editor's note: Catholic Conference of Kentucky deputy director Patrick Delahanty came out in support of criminal legislation that exempts the murder of children by abortion, saying, "It fulfills our view of the sanctity of human life.'' Of course we must conclude that such a "view" is in extreme error! Since Jesus Christ, clearly upholds the death penalty in Matthew 15:1-9, it is impossible then for the administration of Justice ("upon him that doeth evil," Romans 13:4) to contradict the pro-life Biblical view of the sanctity of human life. But the Catholic Conference's "view" of the 'sanctity of human life,' in support of this legislation, not only forsakes the administration of Justice, it forsakes innocent children that are being murdered by abortion! The only solution to this problem is the adoption of a principled approach in support of criminal legislation allowing for the administration of the death penalty with no immunity to murder children by abortion. To support criminal legislation that exempts murder by abortion is utter jackassery, and has nothing to do with the sanctity of human life! --Jim Rudd

Committee Approves Unborn Victims Bill

The House Judiciary Committee today approved by a 20 to 13 vote fetal homicide legislation that would establish a separate offense for killing or injuring an unborn child during the commission of already- defined federal crimes against a pregnant woman. (For example if someone shoots a pregnant woman and kills her unborn child while robbing a bank.)

'The Worst Offender of Federalism'
"The worst offender of federalism is the so-called Unborn Victims of Violence Act, which not only indirectly surrenders the pro-life principle but actually directly undercuts the right to life by granting a specific exemption to abortionists! This exemption essentially allows some to take life with the sanction of federal law. By supporting this legislation, pro-lifers are expressly condoning a legal exemption for abortionists – showing just how far astray some in the pro-life community have gone."

Republicans Kill Babies With Impunity!

President Bush's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to put the "morning after" pill on grocery store shelves next to aspirin. Such a move would result in the deaths of even more unborn babies. While conservatives like to condemn Democrats for their pro-abortion position, they seldom hold Republicans to the same standard. Roy Moore, who was ousted as Alabama's chief justice for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state judicial building, asked the state Supreme Court on Thursday to return him to office. Moore argued in legal briefs that his expulsion sets a "dangerous precedent" and requires judges to deny their oath of office and religious faith. He said he lost his post because he failed a "religious test" that forced him to choose between his job and his allegiance to God.
