An FBI fingerprint expert told a federal jury yesterday that she found two fingerprints of self-proclaimed antiabortion terrorist Clayton Lee Waagner on documents linked to bogus anthrax threat letters mailed in 2001. The two documents were part of one of the stranger chapters in Waagner's 10-month odyssey as a fugitive during 2001: a visit the day after Thanksgiving to the Georgia home of Neal Horsley, who posts an antiabortion Internet site.

Attorneys for former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore have asked a federal judge to step down from hearing any future arguments in the case involving Moore's Ten Commandments monument. Moore says U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson shouldn't be involved in deciding who will pay the hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees for attorneys for plaintiffs. The former Chief Justice says Thompson can't be impartial in the matter because he spoke last month at a legal forum in Atlanta sponsored by the American Civil Liberties Union, one of the groups that sued to have Moore's monument moved.

Bush: Christians, Muslims worship same God
President Bush said that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Speaking at a joint news conference with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Bush was asked his thoughts on how the war on terrorism and his promotion of freedom intersects with his Christian faith. "I do say that freedom is the Almighty's gift to every person," Bush answered. "I also condition it by saying freedom is not America's gift to the world. It's much greater than that, of course. And I believe we worship the same God."

The Courts have spoken.
Now it’s time for the American people to be heard!

In case after case, federal judges are demonstrating utter contempt for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the God-given inalienable rights of the American people. As a result, our courts pervert justice and mock God’s law, sodomy has been elevated to a constitutionally protected right, civil laws sanction the murder of the unborn and the infirmed, and the Ten Commandments, the only foundation for just laws, has been banned from our classrooms and courtrooms.

Roy Moore, Private Citizen...

Chief Justice Roy Moore was removed from office today for refusing to obey a federal court order to move his Ten Commandments monument from the rotunda of the state courthouse.

The Alabama Court of the Judiciary unanimously imposed the harshest penalty possible after a one-day trial in which Moore said his refusal was a moral and lawful acknowledgment of God. Prosecutors argued that Moore's defiance, left unchecked, would harm the judicial system.

The Supreme Court refused today to enter the long-running fight over a monument depicting the Ten Commandments and the judge who wants to keep it on display in an Alabama courthouse. The court quietly rejected appeals from Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who had argued that the monument properly acknowledges "God as the source of the community morality so essential to a self-governing society."

Coroner Confirms RU-486 Death

The Alameda County Coroner's Office confirmed Friday that a drug-induced abortion was the official cause of death for an 18-year-old Livermore woman who died Sept. 17 in Pleasanton. According to Deputy Coroner Frank Gentle, Holly Patterson's "therapeutic drug induced abortion'' caused a condition called endomyometritis, an inflammation of the mucous membrane lining of the uterus. This inflamed condition set in several days after Patterson took the abortion drug, and in turn led to shock which ultimately killed her, Gentle said.
