Bill Would Allow Public Prayer

U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett, R-S.C., said he will introduce legislation — The Public Prayer Protection Act — that will allow officials to offer prayers that evoke the name of Jesus Christ our LORD. “It allows elected (and appointed) public officials to pray in public as they see fit, no matter their orientation,” Barrett said.
