House Passes Birth-Control Bill
Pro-Life News
The House of Representatives approved a bill that could "smooth the way" to over-the-counter use of the Plan B morning after pill. Lawmakers passed a measure barring the FDA from keeping any birth-control off the over-the-counter market once the agency has found it to be safe and effective. (Under the Bush administration "safe and effective" does not apply to the health and protection of unborn children). While the bill does not specifically mention the "morning after pill," supporters were quick to point to the abortifacent as their motivation for pushing the vote.
