Attorneys for Judge Roy Moore have until Jan. 8 to file briefs supporting his appeal of his removal from office by a state judicial panel. Judge Moore next must file briefs with the Alabama Supreme Court explaining why he believes the Court of the Judiciary was wrong to remove him from office. By law, he must file those briefs within 28 days of the certification of the transcript and record of the trial.
