A history professor accused of fatally slitting her six-month-old daughter's throat was charged with second-degree murder in the US. The girl, Raya Donagi, was found bleeding and unconscious on Monday night after her grandmother called authorities in St Paul, Minnesota. Police said the girl's mother,
Mine An Ener, gave the infant her morning feeding and then carried her to the bathroom, pausing in the kitchen to get a knife. Police said she told them she laid the baby on her back and then leaned over, pressing the 12-inch knife's blade twice across Raya's throat. "I killed my baby with a knife," authorities said Ener, 38, told medics when they arrived.

What's new from the Texas legislature is one of the basics of the law, the definition of an individual. The old definition says " 'individual' means a human being who has been born and is alive." The new definition, takes out the phrase "has been born" and adds this phrase to the end - "including an unborn child at every stage of gestation from fertilization until birth." And
the new law does not affect abortions, says district attorney Carlos Valdez.

Planned Parenthood has cleared the latest legal hurdle to hold onto $13 million in family planning funds. This legal battle all revolves around a provision in the state's budget bill which bars funding for any agency that provides abortion services. Planned Parenthood contends it's illegal to use federal money in any way for abortion services and counts on the money to provide its other family planning services.

In a 1992 Planned Parenthood report it was admitted that “abortion services have been deliberatively and systematically targeted toward African-Americans. A disproportionate number of the nation’s abortion clinics are located in minority communities.” While African-Americans constitute roughly 12 percent of the population, 35 percent of all abortions are performed on African-American women. According to the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention there have been about 13 million black babies killed by abortion in 27 years. (Why do you think Bush spent $15 billion dollars on that pro-abortion overseas AIDS package? It's so the baby murdering racist in the 'White' House can kill off African-Africans over there -- that's why.)

Once again, President G. W. Bush has betrayed the pro-life cause. According to Knox News, "In a major policy shift, President Bush has decided to allow social service agencies in Africa and the Caribbean to receive U.S. funds under his $15 billion emergency AIDS relief plan even if they promote family planning and provide abortions, White House officials said."

Tahlequah - Investigators still don't know if a baby was dead or alive when she was left on the side of the road. She was found Monday night around nine o'clock south of Tahlequah along Highway 82. NewsChannel 8's Kim Jackson spoke with the woman, who made the unforgettable discovery. "I seen a plastic box next to it, a bag," says Tina Howard. "I opened that box and there was a little baby." "It's eyes were open, mouth open, the little tongue." She took the baby to her cabin and then called the sheriff. They believe the mother left the note inside the box with the baby's name. "Alexia Starr, and it said I love you, you'll always be in my heart, sorry it happened this way." Because it happened "this way", investigators want answers for the sake of the newborn left on the side of the road.
