Death Sentence for Serial Baby Killer

Jalandhar, India -- A Fast-Track court sentenced to death serial baby killer Darbara Singh, who had kidnapped about 24 children of migrants and killed them, majority of them in 2004. The then Jalandhar SSP, GPS Bhullar, had arrested him. Over ten cases of kidnapping, murder and sexual abuse of children are still pending against him. After his arrest, he had admitted that he had killed 17 children, including 15 girls and two boys. Additional Sessions Judge I S Bajwa’s fast-track court ordered capital punishment in a case of murder of two children, Khurshid, a five-year-old boy, and Roku, a six-year-old girl, both of whom were kidnapped from Basti Mithu.
