Christianity, Culture, and the Unborn

In the last few decades it seems that significant issues that face our country have fallen by the wayside and become less important to many Christians today. Many believe that the Christian has no business in the political spectrum. Others say that we cannot do anything to change the culture or affect change nationally. Some have come to agree with the way things are, rationalizing that the Bible doesn't have much to say about morality, ethics and culture today. In many respects, the Church has become silent, or at least quite muffled on prominent ethical questions in the United States, and other places. One of the foremost of such issues is abortion. Christian or no, I think that there is a logical argument to be had regarding the issue, and even without the Bible it can be said that abortion is the wrongful taking of an innocent human being's life. In the following, I predicate the discussion that it need not be mentioned that we as Christians have a duty to stand up in defense of the innocent wherever they are.
