Forced Abortion Lawsuit Filed Against Michigan Abortionist & Assistant

By Laura Angus / Flint Journal
FLINT, Michigan -- A teenager is accusing a Flint abortion doctor (Alberto Hodari) and his assistant (Victor) of holding her down and covering her mouth as they forcibly terminated her pregnancy after she screamed for them to stop. In a lawsuit filed in June, the teen said she came to WomanCare of Flint, also known as Feminine Care Center, for an abortion on April 9, 2008 but alleges that she changed her mind before the doctor started the procedure. The teen alleges that she screamed “Stop, stop, I don’t want this,” before the procedure, but he and an assistant held her down and covered her mouth as they terminated her pregnancy, according to court documents. She was six weeks into her pregnancy and has since been admitted to Hurley Medical Center because she was suicidal after the abortion, according to court documents. The teen is seeking damages “far exceeding” $25,000 because of severe emotional stress, mental anguish and additional medical treatment because of the abortion. The lawsuit was filed June 12, 2009 in Genesee Circuit Court.
