Police Search For Newborn In Salem Landfill

LEE COUNTY, AL -- A search for a newborn baby has made it's way to a Salem landfill. Montgomery police officers spent all day Monday looking for the body, believing it may have been thrown away in a Montgomery trash can. Lee county sheriff's deputies are helping montgomery police with the massive search. They are determined to find the newborns body, believing it could be the only way to determine if foul play is involved. Each day one thousand tons of garbage from all over Alabama, including Montgomery, is dumped and buried on Salem Landfill's 222 acres. Now the dump site could become a crime scene.
