Judge Dismisses Obstruction Charge Against Abortion Protester at Planned Parenthood Clinic
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- A judge has dismissed charges against an abortion opponent accused of obstructing traffic at a Planned Parenthood clinic in northeast Kansas. Carrie Kafka had been cited in March on a charge of violating an Overland Park ordinance. She was accused of causing cars to stop at the clinic's driveway entrance by offering pamphlets to drivers. A judge dismissed the charge Wednesday. Kafka's lawyer played a video showing that she had not prevented vehicles from entering or leaving the parking lot.
