Planned Parenthood to Open Two New Abortion Clinics
MIAMI -- Planned Parenthood will open two new clinics in Broward in August. Last year, four Planned Parenthood clinics in Broward and one in Boca Raton were shut down amid financial mismanagement and the national organization severed its ties with the clinics. Planned Parenthood of South Palm Beach and Broward could not account for about $440,000 of its $3 million budget. The new clinics in Pembroke Pines and Oakland Park will be operated by a separate entity -- Planned Parenthood of South Florida and the Treasure Coast -- the largest affiliate in the state which also serves Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
