Kansas Board: Probable Cause That Kline Violated Ethics Rules
A state board finds there is probable cause that the former attorney general violated the state's professional conduct rules.Former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline and two deputy prosecutors who served under him must now defend themselves under charges that they violated legal ethics. The state's board of attorney discipline notified Kline, Stephen Maxwell and Eric Rucker last week that a review of an investigation determined "that there is probable cause to believe that these attorneys have violated the Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct."
