Kan. Prosecutors Planned Raid On Tiller Clinic

WICHITA, Kan. -- A former attorney general known for his staunch anti-abortion views once planned an armed raid on a Wichita abortion clinic. But the top investigator for Phill Kline testified today that his boss backed off despite already having a search warrant. The testimony came during a pretrial hearing in Sedgwick County District Court for Dr. George Tiller. The late-term abortion provider faces trial in March on charges of failing to get a second opinion from an independent physician before performing some abortions.
