Tiller's `Killer PAC' Fined $2,500 by Kansas Ethics Commission

Tiller mugshot TOPEKA -- The state ethics commission fined Wichita abortion provider George Tiller's political action committee $2,500 on Wednesday for failing to list some contributors' occupations. The Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission could have fined ProKanDo up to $15,000 for not fully complying with the state's campaign finance reporting law. ProKanDo, which Tiller formed in 2002, has spent more than $1 million in the past four years promoting abortion rights, helping candidates who support abortion rights and working against anti-abortion candidates. At issue before the ethics commission were three ProKanDo campaign finance reports on which some donors who contributed more than $150 did not list occupations, as required by law. The reports were dated June 24, 2006; Oct. 30, 2006; and Jan. 10, 2007.
