Mother, 19, to Plead Guilty to Killing Her Newborn Baby

POMPANO BEACH, FL -- Prosecutors say Ashley Truitt will plead guilty next month to killing her newborn. Truitt, 19, is accused of throwing her daughter down a trash chute after giving birth in a hotel bathroom in Pompano Beach, Florida, where she was vacationing with her family. This all happened in June of last year. Florida prosecutor Gregg Rossman says Truitt will plead guilty to homicide on December 18th. Originally she faced a first degree murder charge, a capital crime in Florida.
