Man Charged with Abusing 2-Year-Old

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A 19-year-old man was charged with child abuse after a 2-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with head trauma and bleeding in the brain. Police arrested Marcus Holt on Wednesday, two days after emergency medical workers took the boy to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The child was admitted and remained in critical condition as of Wednesday. According to police, Holt is a family friend and is not related to the injured boy.
