Vietnam Suspends Hepatitis-B Vaccines After Eight Infants Suffer Respiratory Failure

The Ca Mau Health Department has instructed health centers under its governance to halt the use of two vaccines after eight vaccinated infants suffered respiratory failure 10 days ago at a local hospital. The two vaccines against hepatitis-B and tuberculosis are presently preserved under regulated conditions, pending results from an investigation into the cause of the complications, department head Huynh Trung Kien said last Friday.
