Drug Induced Abortions in UK Could Be Completed at Home

Women could be allowed to have the second stage of a chemical abortion at home, under controversial plans to be presented to ministers. The proposal would allow women to take a tablet to induce an early miscarriage without a doctor or nurse being present. The plans, which have been backed by the Government's Science and Technology Committee, are to be put at a special Parliamentary briefing this week.
