Autopsy: Newborn boy drowned
MILLVILLE -- A newborn boy found Monday morning stuffed in a toilet tank in a bathroom at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds drowned, an autopsy report concluded Tuesday. The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office identified a 14-year-old Bridgeton girl as the mother. The baby's death is being investigated as a homicide, county Prosecutor Ronald Casella said late Tuesday afternoon. "There was liquid in the stomach and the lungs were aerated, according to the autopsy," meaning the baby was alive and had taken at least one breath before he died, Casella said.
