Police Investigate Death of Newborn Found in Closet
Louisville Metro Police are investigating the death of a newborn boy found in the closet of a home in the Pleasure Ridge Park area yesterday afternoon. Emergency Medical Services was called about 2 p.m. to the home in the 3600 block of Alameter Drive, said Officer Phil Russell, a police spokesman. The infant was found dead in a closet, and his 15-year-old mother was taken to an area hospital to be checked, police said. Police are handling the investigation as a death inquiry, pending a ruling by the medical examiner about the cause of death, Russell said.
