Montana Catholic Bishops Asked to Back Pro-Life Initiative CI-100
KALISPELL -- A statewide group based in Bigfork is asking Catholic bishops in Montana to reconsider a decision not to back a proposed ballot initiative on human life. Catholic Christians Supporting CI-100 said in an open letter to the bishops Thursday that it considers the initiative a new and creative way of opposing and ending abortion. Constitutional Initiative 100 would define a person as "a human being at all stages of human development or life, including the state of fertilization." It has yet to qualify for November's ballot.
