A Planned Parenthood Clinic Catches Fire

Heavy smoke and fire damaged the Planned Parenthood building on Biltmore Avenue on Sunday morning, according to Asheville Fire and Rescue Department officials. Firefighters were able to contain the fire in the room in which it started after arriving about 7 a.m. However, smoke did damage the rest of the structure. The fire is believed to have started near or in the heater room of the building. The Asheville-Buncombe Arson Task is investigating the cause of the fire. Read more...
