Interview With Rev. Mike Bray on The Political CesspoolThe Political Cesspool
FIRST HOUR: (GUEST) REV. MICHAEL BRAY - Rev. Bray is an author and pro-life activist with abundant experience in communication with major media reporters and journalists in print, radio, and TV since 1981. He has been interviewed by most major newspapers including: Boston Globe, L.A. Times, New York Times, USA Today, Washington Post, Washington Times and has made numerous appearances on talk radio and television, including 60 Minutes. Rev. Bray is the father of 11 children and could lose his home if the Federal Government has their way. Hear his story tonight. The Political Cesspool 10/12/07 (TN)...
In today's WNJ Will Durst had an editorial: “Free speech ain't free. Oh, wait a minute. Yeah, it is.” You were right the first time, Mr. Durst.
On October 1, two sheriffs, one plain clothes ATF agent, four U.S. marshals bedecked in bullet proof vests and automatic side arms, two representatives from Planned Parenthood, and two packers entered our house for the purpose of removing all the families computers, TVs. cameras, and some books. The house was searched and videoed by Planned Parenthood representatives without a search warrant. Our attorneys were not notified and my husband was forbidden from calling the press or me. I found out about the invasion from a friend.
Why the Rambo performance? Because in the mid 90s Planned Parenthood sued vocal Life Advocates over speech that they did not like. Under orders from a (Ninth Circuit) federal judge, a jury could find the defendants liable for making threats against abortionists even though no actual threats were made. He said the Life Advocates (defendants) should have known that abortionists would feel threatened by their rhetoric.
Michael Bray's share of this liability was $1 million. Though not a member of this "insensitive" group, he had been invited to display and sell his book, A Time to Kill, at one of their conferences.
This suit has nothing to do with Michael’s conviction of over 20 years ago. He was added as a defendant among a dozen others to help besmirch their good reputations with a "convicted felon."
Now, Planned Parenthood (that advocate for women and children) is forcing the sale of our home (owned jointly by Michael and me) and putting us and eight dependant children out in 30 days.
Add to this abuse the fact that the expense of this police action will be paid by me out of the proceeds of the forced sale of our home.
All things considered, it would be utterly remiss of me not to speak of the kindness shown to our family by this wonderful town. The support, companionship and sympathy of this community - school, parents, administrators and churches- has overwhelmed us. We look for another home somewhere in town to rent SOON! Injustice happens - all over the world. It hit home on Monday, but with God’s help, we will press on.
