Bill Orders N.J. Pharmacists to Fill All Prescriptions

Bill: Pharmacists Have NO Moral or Religious Rights

Pharmacists in New Jersey would be legally required to sell any medication or medical device, even if they object on religious or moral grounds, under a bill that won final legislative approval yesterday. The bill emerged from the controversy surrounding the push to make the so-called "morning-after" pill (Bush's Plan B Abortion Pill) available without a prescrip tion. After a three-year debate that engaged pro- and anti-abortion ad vocates, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in August approved the over-the-counter sale of the drug designed to prevent pregnancy.
