Indiana Abortion-Regulations Bill Shelved

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- A bill that would require Indiana doctors to tell women seeking an abortion that life begins at conception and that a fetus could feel pain appears to be finished for this legislative session. Sen. Patricia L. Miller, R-Indianapolis, decided not to call Senate Bill 135 for amendments Monday. Her decision means the bill will not receive a vote before the Senate this session. Miller said she decided not to push the bill any further because of disagreements over a definition of contraception that had been inserted in the bill in a Senate committee. Full story...
