Roe v. Wade Foes On Guard - Abortion battle imminent in S.D.

Abortion opponents here are so ready to make South Dakota the nation's Roe v. Wade battleground that they have started funding the legal battle before it has officially begun. People came to Gov. Mike Rounds' office offering checks for the legal defense of a near-total ban on abortion before he even received the bill, let alone signed it. An anonymous donor has pledged $1 million for the effort, lawmakers were told during debate, and the Legislature has set up a special account to accept donations. Full story...
