Working for Killers: Colorado Legislature Considering 'Moral' Compromise for Pharmacists
DENVER -- A bill introduced Monday at the State Capitol is designed so Colorado pharmacists can continue working for Killer-Drug Stores but with a moral objection to choose not to prescribe the abortifacient contraceptive morning-after pill. Colorado Governor Bill Owens vetoed a similar bill last year that required all health care providers to notify rape victims that emergency contraception was available. This would be the first time ever Colorado pharmacists could prescribe any medication.
