Two West Palm Beach ordinances intended to protect medical facilities face an almost immediate legal challenge from anti-abortion groups. Anti-abortion activists filed a lawsuit Tuesday in U.S. District Court arguing the ordinances, which take effect today, are unconstitutional because they "chill and deprive" free speech and equal protection rights. The three Palm Beach County women who brought the lawsuit also filed an emergency application for a temporary restraining order to suspend the ordinances.
