Anger at Ekka Showbag Condom

OUTRAGED family groups have called for the removal of a condom from a showbag at the Brisbane Exhibition. The Inside Sports bag will contain magazines, a skipping rope, Frisbee, sports paraphernalia . . . and a condom. The $15 bag has passed inspection by the Office of Fair Trading. Stalls selling the bags will carry a sign listing the contents and warning it is for people over 15 years. But Family Council of Queensland president Alan Baker called for the condoms to be removed. "It is inappropriate and irresponsible to be putting a condom in a bag with toys and sporting paraphernalia . . . it is the wrong message to be sending to young people," he said.
